Damaris Izard

Damaris co-leads the HSSPA – Coffee Social Group. This group aims to create a space where folks can unwind, relax, and take a break from the daily grind, to promote mental well-being and stress relief through informal conversations and camaraderie, facilitate friendships, and promote cultural exchange.

Originally from Texas, she relocated with her military family to North Carolina, where she met her husband. The two of them then lived in NYC for three years before moving to Boston in June 2023. She holds a BA in Business Administration from Arizona State University, currently works in Business Development in the automotive industry, and is fluent in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language. 

Previously, Damaris taught Spanish-speaking immigrants and the deaf community across the southern states and hopes to find more volunteer work in that field soon.

Damaris' husband, Paul, shares her passion for coffee and is also an enthusiastic member of the group. He is currently in his second year at Harvard Medical School. Together, they enjoy exploring new coffee shops in the city.
