Damaris Izard

Damaris, originally from Texas, moved to Boston in the summer of 2023 with her husband, Paul, a fourth-year student at Harvard Medical School. She holds a BA in Business Administration, works in Business Development in the automotive industry, and is fluent in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language (ASL).

Since joining the HSSPA community in 2023, Damaris has served as Groups Manager and currently serves as Treasurer and on the Event Planning Committee. She has also helped lead the Coffee & Conversations Group, Film Club, and Sports Club. Damaris previously taught Spanish-speaking immigrants and the deaf community across the southern states and hopes to return to that work soon.

Outside of work and volunteering, you can find Damaris exploring local coffee shops, wine shops, and Pilates studios.
