Welcome to our March HSSPA Book Club meeting!!

This March, as we approach International Women’s Day, we read The Awakening by Kate Chopin and The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman — two haunting and unsettling portraits of women pushing against the architecture of marriage and domesticity.

Both texts ask a stark question: What happens when a woman begins to see herself clearly?
