2025: A Year of Growth and Connection - Strengthening the HSSPA Community

As the calendar turns and we welcome 2025, it’s the perfect time to reflect on how far we’ve come as a community at the Harvard Students' Spouses & Partners Association (HSSPA). This past year has been transformative, marked by growth, connection, and a shared commitment to making HSSPA a vibrant and inclusive home for all our members.

In 2024, we reached new milestones that highlight the strength of our community. Our membership now exceeds 1,000 active participants, with over 500 members engaging regularly in our thriving WhatsApp groups. These platforms have become invaluable spaces for sharing resources, planning activities, and simply staying connected in the busy lives we all lead.

This year, we saw the introduction of more than 10 new interest groups, bringing our total to 16. Each group reflects the incredible diversity of our community, offering something for everyone. Whether you were dancing your heart out with the Dance Group, exploring the rules of the road with the Driving Group, or competing in friendly matches with the Sports Group, the energy and enthusiasm across HSSPA have been truly inspiring.

Our events calendar has been just as exciting. From cultural potlucks that showcase our international flavors to film screenings, coffee meetups, and museum visits, we’ve come together in ways that celebrate both our individuality and the bonds we share as part of this incredible Harvard community.

Looking Back on 2024:

• Engaged Leadership: Our member-driven leadership model continues to thrive, empowering any member to start and lead new groups with full support from HSSPA.
• Expanded Offerings: The addition of new groups has opened doors for members to explore their interests and meet others who share their passions.
• Cultural and Academic Opportunities: Our Auditing Group remains a shining example of the unique opportunities available to HSSPA members, enabling them to engage with Harvard’s academic life in meaningful ways.

As we look to 2025, our focus remains on fostering a sense of belonging and creating even more opportunities for connection, learning, and growth. Whether you’re new to Harvard or have been part of this journey for a while, we invite you to bring your ideas and energy to the table.
