Tejal is a cell and molecular biologist whose work sits at the intersection of biology and AI. She completed her PhD in Germany before moving to Boston in late 2025, when her partner joined Harvard. Alongside her work in AI, she teaches young children, and she volunteers on the marketing committee of WEST (Women in the Enterprise of Science and Technology).

At HSSPA, Tejal serves as Communications Manager, looking after the newsletter, website, and the association's voice across channels. She also leads the Game Night group, an evening built around board games and the kind of easy conversation that happens when everyone is focused on something other than small talk.

Outside of HSSPA, Tejal is drawn to art in most of its forms, from drawing and illustration to crochet and other things made by hand. She likes where science and art overlap, and she is always happy to talk about either.
